Marketing, Motherhood & Showing Up in AI Search (with Vix Reitano of Agency 6B)

Oct 30, 2025

Why this convo matters

If you’ve ever wondered how to balance being a present mom with building a people-first, profitable business—while also keeping up with AI—this episode is your jam. I sat down with NYC marketer and Agency 6B founder Vix Reitano to talk about business that funds families, the power of a mother’s intuition in strategy, and how to actually show up in tools like ChatGPT and Gemini.

Vix is known as “Vix the Fix” for a reason—she sees the gaps in your marketing (message, momentum, mechanics) and patches them with practical, human solutions. And yes, we go deep on GEO—Generative Engine Optimization—so your brand can be discovered inside AI search.

The big idea: Business funds families

One of my favorite moments from this chat: Vix’s philosophy that every dollar invested in a business funds a family—yours, your team’s, and the people you serve. When we treat marketing as a way to sustain human lives (not just metrics), our decisions get kinder and smarter. I couldn’t agree more.

Motherhood is sacred—and so is your professional purpose

Vix said it beautifully: she loves being a mom and a builder. Same. We’re allowed to hold both.

Motherhood gives us an intuitive “Mufasa voice”—that grounded inner knowing. In business, that looks like:
  • Saying yes to experiments even when “best practices” say no
  • Trusting your gut on offers, timing, and audience
  • Refusing to separate brand from real life (because your buyers are people)

GEO 101: How to be found in ChatGPT, Gemini & beyond

We’re not living in a “Google-only” world anymore. People discover brands through LLMs (large language models) like ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and Perplexity. That means your content needs to be findable in conversational search.

What’s working right now (Vix’s playbook):
  • Natural language everywhere. Write the way you speak across your website, emails, social captions, and video scripts. LLMs process words; feed them real, human sentences.
  • Transcripts + alt text. Add transcripts to videos and descriptive, actionable alt text to images. (Not “photo of mug”—say “hand-thrown ceramic coffee mug on oak desk during brand shoot.”)
  • Credibility content. Think listicles, how-tos, FAQs, comparisons—helpful, scannable pieces that answer what people actually ask.
  • “Ugly ads” and word-first creative. Don’t over-polish. Clear > clever.
  • Good data in = better targeting out. Keep your lists clean, your pixels firing, and your lookalike signals current. Premium buyers require premium signals.
  • Consistency > perfection. Align your voice and topics so AI has a strong signal for who you help and how.

Quick win: Record a voice note sharing your take on a topic, transcribe it, lightly edit, and publish to your blog/LinkedIn/Newsletter. That’s GEO-friendly, repurpose-ready content created in minutes.

B2B, B2C… it’s all P2P (people to people)

Whether you sell to consumers or companies, you’re still talking to humans who are scrolling at soccer practice and batching emails at 10 p.m. Vix’s full-funnel lens—from first touch to repeat purchase—works because it mirrors how people actually discover, decide, and buy.

Ask yourself:
  • Where does a real person first hear about you?
  • What do they need to see next to feel safe?
  • How do you follow up like a human (texts, DMs, plain-language emails)?
  • What makes referring you feel effortless?

What changes after baby (and why boundaries grow your business)

Since becoming a mom, Vix shifted her work rhythms—no weekends, tighter daily windows, and rituals that prioritize presence. The result? Clearer priorities, better creative, and stronger team leadership. Boundaries aren’t the enemy of growth; they’re the engine.

If you only do three things after reading this…

  1. Audit your words. Pull up your homepage, top service page, and latest email. Would a friend actually say those sentences out loud? If not, rewrite in natural language.
  2. Add transcripts + alt text. Choose one video to transcribe and update alt text on 5–10 images sitewide.
  3. Publish one credibility piece. A list, how-to, or FAQ that answers a real question your ideal client asks.
